I never thought about commercializing this idea; my original intention was just to look for medicinal plants that would help me reduce the inflammation due to all the medical treatments and invasive chemotherapy that made me gain almost 30 pounds every month when applied.
It was during this time that I unfortunately fractured my lower spine, which held me bedridden for one year, unable to fully move or exercise. My problems had now combined two-fold: living with my disease and not being able to exercise. I had to lay in bed and live with steroids every week. One night I prayed to God for healing; when I woke up the next morning, God gave me the courage and strength to make the decision to remain positive, and from that point on, I studied day and night about how the body works.
While reading, I started to realize how nature had influenced humans from the beginning of time. It was at this time in my life on which I knew that God was guiding me towards the healing power of plants. I took it upon myself to study medicinal plants and discovered their many healing benefits. I also went to study in villages where people had been cured of different major diseases by using these medicinal plants, as I witnessed with my own eyes the many healing benefits of roots, seeds and leaves. I then commenced the study of all curative properties that our beautiful nature offers us.
I have had a passion toward plants since childhood; my greatest happiness was when I would go to a mountain in a magical place in Venezuela, near the Orinoco River, to collect plants. At that time, I used these plants to cure minor physical discomforts. It was not until the time when I became bedridden, that I started to take plants as a serious resource to cure myself, resources given to me by God.
In conclusion I would like to share with you that I have always strongly felt and will continue to strongly feel and say until my last moment, that this project comes from a force greater than myself, and that I give all the credit to God, the Creator of everything.Home
